Hiya! So excited to report that the content highlighted in the inaugural post of this little blog was recently featured on the wildly popular wedding blog Snippet and Ink! This shoot happened last Fall and now looking again at the images there’s so much I’d do differently but it’s so exciting to see my name featured among some of the most talented contributors. I’m in constant awe of their creativity.
Don’t think I’ll ever tire of seeing new (or old) work published for the world to see and hopefully enjoy.
Lots of excitement on top of a busy week at work. In the midst of preparing for a cake tasting next weekend, squaring away the logistics for some recipe testing that I’ll be doing for a local cookbook author, and re-nesting my apartment after the departure of my roommate, somehow I still found time to indulge in some cookie baking. Perfectly chewy chocolate chip cookie baking to be exact. Maybe it’s part of the re-nesting. Now I know that the “proper” texture of chocolate chip cookies is one of debate but it really all boils down to personal preference, right? My favorites are soft and chewy. None of this crisp, crumbly business. When I was a barista at Starbucks my favorite pastry from the case was the chocolate chip cookie. Not all that original in light of my other choices I know, but they were always so perfectly soft and it was the texture that I craved just as much as the flavor. I’m sure it was chock full of shortening to make it that way but hey, we’re not going for health here. Last weekend I had a craving for that same tender cookie and much to my delight, this recipe yielded exactly what I was hoping for. And it’s made with real butter. This recipe was taken from AllRecipes.com
Hope it was a lovely week!
